Presents sixteen awards for 15 years service and above  

TTems rewards staff commitment

Newport, South Wales, 24 January 2008. TTems, the largest UK owned global EMS provider, today announced that it has presented sixteen staff at its Rogerstone, South Wales site with Long Service Awards.

At the ceremony, David Whippey, Manufacturing Director and Alan Parry, Test Technician received 30 year awards, and Janet Bird, Work-in-Progress controller and Roger Martin, Technical Support Manager were presented with their 25 year awards. A further eleven staff received awards for 20 years service, and one for fifteen years. The new awards took the proportion of the 300 staff at Rogerstone with over fifteen years service to 40%.

Commenting, Andrew Cox, Managing Director, said, “At TTems we value the loyalty and commitment of our team here in Rogerstone, and it gives me enormous pleasure to make this presentation as a mark of our gratitude and respect to these individuals for their service to the company. We believe that our people are a key differentiator.

Commenting on his 25 years continuous service, Technical Support Manager Roger Martin said, “TTems has offered me a varied and diverse career, with many opportunities to be exposed to new technologies and new responsibilities. I joined as a jig and tool draftsman and moved through a variety of production roles to my position today leading the team responsible for customer and internal documentation control.”

Angela Smith, Production Supervisor, added that it was the warm and supportive working environment that she has particularly valued during her twenty years service with the company. “So many of the people I work with every day have been with us for ten, eleven or more years – it really is just like one big family,” she said.
